Chairperson Jenny Bruen addressed the large crowd gathered in Clancy's of Knockvicar for the 2017 Super Holiday & Fuel Draw on Sunday night. In her address Jenny thanked our holiday & fuel draw prize sponsors and also paid tribute to the committee who co-ordinated the draw. She also thanked those who had sold and bought tickets to this year's draw. Brian Lee then took command of proceedings as the draw was carried out and which was also broadcast on Facebook. The winners were 12th Prize: Boiler Service - Philip O'Donoghue, 11th : Car trailer load of turf - Róisin Grier, 10th : Kilronan Castle Break - Michael Guckian (USA), 9th : Trim Castle Break - Clayton Good, c/o Murtagh's Bar, 8th : Manchester United trip - James Simon, Oxhill, 7th : Tractor trailer load of turf - James Mc Loughlin, Effernagh, 6th : 500kgs coal - Natalie Mc Nutt, Corrigeenroe, 5th : 500 litres heating oil - Kate Wallace, Strokestown, 4th : 100 bales of Peat Briquettes - Paddy Mc Morrow, Monaghan, 3rd: Algarve Holiday - David Maguire, Leitrim Village, 2nd : Tractor load of timber - David Kelly, Keadue, 1st : Shannon River Cruise - Florrie Tormey, Boyle.
St. Michael's GAA club extends sympathy to the family, relations and friends of the late Fidelma Durkin, Knockvicar.
