Update 23/4/17

Adult Football: Following defeat at the hands of Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Sunday 16th April our Tansey Cup team bounced back with a win over Elphin at Orchard Park on Saturday.

Recently our division 5 team put in a galant performance away to Michael Glavey's but came up short, they play Kilglass Gaels on Friday next at 7.00pm in Ardcarne Park.

Underage: The Michael's/Ronan's minor combination team had a good win over St. Croan's at Ardcarne Park on Friday evening last, the same two teams will cross swords again this Wednesday when they meet at Enfield.
 
The under 14 boys lost out to Padraig Pearses last Thursday, they host St. Brigid's this Thursday in the division 1 league at 6.30pm.

The under 12 mixed division 3 team play away to Strokestown this Wednesday evening at 7.15pm.

Ladies: Well done to the under 16 girls and their management team who have reached the division 4 A final on 1st May where they will meet St. Ciaran's.

The under 12 girls were narrowly beaten by Elphin/Kilmore last week, they travel to Boyle this Monday evening.

Best Wishes: Best of luck to our club representatives on the Carrick-on-Shannon community school boys football team who contest the Connacht Junior B GAA final on Tuesday in Ballyhaunis against St. Muredach's from Ballina.

The club extends it's gratitude to Noeleen Moffatt for her assistance in promoting the club and it's events in the parish newsletter over the last 20+ years while in her role as parish secretary.

AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Ardcarne Park Development Committee will be held on 2nd May at 9.30pm. This committee is responsible for the hire and maintenance of the Sports Complex. New members are needed and all are welcome.

Congratulations: Congratulations to Raymond Molloy and Helen Gormley on their recent marriage.

Club lotto: Congratulations to Jack Fallon, Cootehall who matched three numbers in the club lotto draw which was held on 16/4/17, he wins €100. The next draw for a jackpot of €8,200 will be held in Tara Marina on 30/4/17 with Ann Cox's team running the show.

Sympathy: St. Michael's GAA Club extends sympathy to Brenda Sweeney and family, to Joe Beirne and family, Cathal Beirne and family, the Malone families, Ballyfermoyle on their recent bereavements and to the family and relations of the late Padraig Flynn, Erronagh.
